In order to support the thesis, it has to contain a variety of arguments that are independent or additional or statements of fact or reasoning that support the literary thesis.
The introduction to an essay often serves to preview what is to be written. It sets the expectations for the essay writer. It begins with a brief description of what the essay will provide and how it relates to the topic(s). In most instances, however, the introduction is silent. This allows the essayist to let their ideas flow without having to think about the issues raised in the introduction. This allows for time to gather the necessary details and to formulate the themes that will be woven throughout the work.
The majority of essays contain at least one preface. This describes the background and scope of the essay’s research. The preface may suggest that the essay has a theme with an essay or highlight an important aspect of the writing. In addition to the main premise(s) that are stated in the introduction, the format of the essay is typically left to the conclusion. The conclusion provides a concise thesis or statement built on the information previously discussed within the body of the essay–and concludes with a conclusion that addresses the people who are most interested in the topic.
